Getting Bonsai Plants from Bonsai Seeds

Many of the early bonsai books for beginners recommended planting bonsai seeds to obtain bonsai samples.

Following the advice, some bonsai beginners filled dozen of bonsai pots with bonsai seeds, around their homes.

Although obtaining bonsai plants from bonsai seeds may sound quite appealling for some beginners, but the fact is, it takes a very long time to obtain specimens large enough to work on.

Much of the time spent from this could have been used for working in the soil, or working on bonsai trees that had enough development to allow bonsai pinching, pruning or even wiring.

However, planting bonsai seeds can be a good way to obtain unusual trees.
