Certain tools are necessary for growing, training and caring for Bonsai
One tends to uses a lot of wire when training their Bonsai. A set of good Bonsai wire cutters is needed to properly handle Bonsai wire. Regular wire cutters are not suitable for the job because once wire is wrapped around the Bonsai because the ends are very close to the trunk or base. Typical wire cutters can damage the Bonsai because the tips are not made to cut as closely as Bonsai wire cutters are. Wire cutters made for Bonsai have a special tip that ensures a close cut without damaging the Bonsai.
Another tool needed when caring for Bonsai is the concave pruner. This pruner is designed to give neat cuts that do not damage a Bonsai when pruning. This produces minimal scarring on the Bonsai. It’s also designed to make cuts that promote healing on the cut wounds of a Bonsai. It has tips designed to precisely cut tiny limbs with jaws that are “oval†in nature designed for cutting the larger branches of a Bonsai.
A root cutter is another tool needed for caring for Bonsai. It is a specially designed tool used to cut the roots of the Bonsai when repotting.
These three tools are the tools one will certainly need to properly care and train their Bonsai. There are other tools that can make the job easier of course, but these are considered necessities.
